2010-04-27 Greatpac's eco-friendly disposables

TheMalayMail-PETALING JAYA: Greatpac Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Wawasan TKH Holdings Bhd this morning launched its ecofriendly disposable foodware range, JASA Eco.

Utilising the latest development in Green Technology that is developed from corn starch called Plastarch Material (PSM), JASA Eco seeks to be a market leader in eco-friendly disposable products.

Designed for everyday use — from catering events to private parties, JASA Eco products include plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, carrier bags and other disposable items of various sizes.

These products are also designed to naturally break down into organic fragments within several months of disposing them in a landfill.

TheStar-PETALING JAYA: Wawasan TKH Holdings Bhd's subsidiary Greatpac Sdn Bhd, which has invested RM1mil in its new line of business, eco-friendly disposable products, under the brand name of Jasa Eco, expects to secure an overseas market in three to five years. Wawasan TKH chief executive officer Datuk Tan Hoe Pin said Greatpac had been in the disposable food and beverage packaging industry since its establishment in 1991 and in 2005, was taken over by Wawasan TKH.
